Monitoring Engineer

Assist in the management and configuration of infrastructure and application monitoring tools;

Respond to monitoring alerts and perform initial troubleshooting steps;

Create and maintain accurate documentation of monitoring configurations, systems, and processes;

Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure system availability and performance;

Analyse system and application performance data and produce regular reports;

Expect to perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or a similar tool to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, databases, and cloud services;

Familiarity with monitoring technologies and platforms such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar;

Understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSH, etc.);

Understanding of log management and analysis tools like Splunk, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or similar;

Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or JavaScript;

Familiarity with operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows;

Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus;

Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team;

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools like ChatGPT and other technologies, demonstrating a capability to seamlessly integrate these into daily tasks.
